Optimus01 SEO / Website Project Process
Website Project Process
A project of this nature would require that there is an initial meeting to find out exactly what it is that you would like for your website – then we can supply you with a meaningful quotation. Though you have given is the basics below, it is still not enough information to proceed with giving you a quotation estimate as you have requested.
In terms of how we work please note the following:
We send through a DETAILED quotation (item specific) based on your brief
Should you approve the quotation we send through an invoice for 70% of the quoted fee
Upon receipt of proof of payment we will obtain a design brief from you
Upon receipt of the design brief we will take 1 week to execute the design
Upon receipt of design approval from you we will develop the website accordingly taking the following into account:
Signed off website design
Signed off detailed quotation
We will then develop your website according to the brief – dependant on the nature of the project we will supply you with a deadline date in terms of when the development stage will be complete
It is not customary for our clients to be onsite during development – however if you wish to come in now and then during the development phase you are more than welcome to come by appointment only as we do work on other websites
We will however also send you a test link once development commences so that you can remotely view your website during the development period
If you see areas of your site that require changes / amendments (differing from the initial brief) whilst it is in development we will not attend to any changes / amendments until the site is in its official testing stage – this is to avoid billing confusion etc at a later stage
Once development is complete, the site will move into the testing stage, at which point you will have a meeting with our developer and go through the website in terms of corrections / changes / amendments that you have. Please note that ANY changes / amendments that deviate from the initial signed quotation and the initial approved design brief will carry a fee of R412.50 incl vat per hour over and above the approved website quotation. We will send you a “phase 2” quotation with any changes / amendments detailed thereon and upon receipt of approval we will commence with the changes / amendments
We do require upfront payment for “phase 2” quotations so as to prevent the “final” bill from escalating
Once you are happy with the testing, and everything is complete we then require payment of the remaining 30%
Upon receipt of proof of payment we will then make your website live and issue you with your CMS training manual so that you can edit content etc. on your website
Thereafter you need to let us know when you wish for your site to go live
Once we receive the instruction to go live, we will action it however the actual website can take up to 72 hours for your website to go live
In terms of contractual arrangements all our website projects are governed by our standard terms and conditions below:
In terms of confidentiality agreements, this is entirely up to the client. If you would like us to sign one then simply let us know, send it through and we will sign it.
I trust that I have answered all your questions etc. If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact Darryn Balanco (your designated project manager) on 082 496 8732 and he will be of assistance.
As stated previously the next step would be a meeting with yourself, Darryn and Devon (the web developer assigned to this project).
We therefore await your feedback.
A website project would generally require an initial meeting to find out exactly what it is that the client would like for their website – then we can supply a meaningful quotation. For basic websites we do not generally have an initial meeting, unless the client would like one.
